6th Grade Celebration

The 6th graders had a blast with their celebration day! There was plenty of food, candy, and WATER to go around! The dunking booth and being sprayed by the fire truck were the highlights of the outside activities!
Every few minutes, the "candy canon" was reloaded and fired.

They had a graduation that morning with awards and a great speaker!
She will miss her teacher and all of the "good times" but knows Jr. High will be a blast as well! Congrats Mikelle!!

One Belt Closer to the Goal!

At most every karate belt promotion/graduation, the demo teams also perform for the students and families. Cameron's main instructor is the complete bomb! (He would be the one several feet off the air in a kick). He is always amazing to watch and learn from!Congrats on completing orange belt and moving on to purple belt Cam!

Steve was able to get some cool pictures with the light coming through the windows!

The whole Bobby Lawrence School of Karate fam!

Moving on to purple belt means Cameron starts participating in sparring. He was so excited when his sparring gear arrived that he slept in the helmet the first night (thank goodness it is soft:). He gets compliments after every class as he is such a hard worker. The 45 minute classes wipe him out a little as he puts so much effort into them. I love one of the signs that hang at the studio that says something like: "The more you sweat in practice, the less you will BLEED in battle!":) I am glad he is learning such discipline and also self-defense moves in case he ever needs them. His confidence has sky-rocketed since he started. Way to go Tum!

Circle of Friends

Mikelle has so many good friends that all have so much fun together!
They are so excited for 7th grade...they have checked each other's class schedule at least 3 times to see how many classes they have together!
I am not very hip with all the current lingo but how about "Peace Out Gals" for this picture?

So You Think You Can Dance?

The end of May means everybody's dance festivals! My "Hot Mama" dance group performed on the hottest day of the year where everone was baking (it happens every year that our "recital" falls on that day:) It was such a blast though and we all love it or we wouldn't do it!
Here we are "7 years later." Lacy (the teacher) said I was her first student to sign up for the mom dance class all of those years ago and we have been friends ever since! She now teaches 5 classes and we all love how she tries to get us to move like we are 19 again!
It is a riot to learn the new dances each year and "rock out" with the other "hot mamas!"

The kids also had their annual Dance Festival the last week of school. Mikelle (6th grade) danced to "The Final Countdown" (their last days of elementary). The boys pumped it to Michael Jackson's "Thriller." They all did such a great job--so yeah--we like to think we can dance:)

It's that time of the month! (blog catch up time:)

It's time to catch up again:) Here are the beautiful lilies Steve sent for Mother's Day. I haven't had flowers sent UPS before. They were gorgeous girls!

Hopefully our blog posts will be more visible now as Steve used Mother's Day as a reason to purchase the new camera! Yeah! Thank you!

Church was awesome and of course we get to take home the flower! The kids were all so sweet with their cards, gifts, coupons, and loves!
Thanks for making the day so great Pop!
Two days after Mother's Day, Mikelle turned 12! She is enjoying every minute of being in YW and here she is displaying her fleece blankets we made for an activity.
Birthday morning!
A kiss from Pop before leaving for work and Grandma & Grandpa Dimond on the phone with their b-day wishes.
Her b-day seemed to span the whole month
since we started May 1st with the "12 days of b-day" celebration.
She loved getting checked out of school after lunch to go get her ears pierced.
She waited 12 years for this torture:) (Can we interest you in this Grandma Gus:)?
Marking the target before shooting.
Off to get pedicures after that...
Kept celebrating that night at Cold Stone.
Happy B-day Mikelle!
Mikelle is such a beautiful daughter who helps us SO much! She is so wise and mature and is the best oldest daughter we could ever ask for:) Love ya Dell! Happy B-day!
