Back to Spring Break...it was so fun to have my Mom come down and stay a few days at our house! On her last night here, we were getting ready to go out for a girls' night out, when she accidentally missed a step in our garage and took a nasty fall! Our
GNO was at the ER instead! I felt so bad for her as her pain was "a 10 or a 20" on the 0-10 rating scale! She ended up needing the
equivalent of a shoulder replacement a few days later! I went to help her in the hospital. She was a trooper and found ways to push through every painful moment!

Some of her pretty flowers!

The nurse in me just had to see the incision on her shoulder! Looks good; free from signs of infection...wound edges well approximated etc:).

After her discharge from the hospital, she was able to stay at a rehab-type center (or as she calls it..."The
Taj-mahal!" She was able to receive physical therapy and continued with home health physical therapy after that. Because of her diligent efforts in her exercises/re
hab, she can now lift her shoulder well and does the "parade wave" whenever she gets the chance:)! I am so glad she is feeling better although I don't anticipate she will ever come and visit us again! She went through enough! Way to push through with your shoulder! We love ya!
