February 2010

Some of the best news of February was that Elder Seth Dimond returned home from the San Diego, CA mission. He served a great mission! It was so good to see him again after 2 years!
Right up there with the breaking news story of Seth coming home, was that Kennedy took her 5 immunizations/shots for Kindergarten like a man! She was SO brave and didn't cry at all during the shots going in-she only let out a little whimper after the shock of it all set in a few seconds later! She has in her mind that she wants to be a Pediatrician so she is trying to "get used to all of the shots and needles."
Showing off the battle wounds!
She insisted on keeping the band-aids on for like a week! You would think they would come off in the tub! I finally insisted they be removed at the end of the week due to germs!
Our February Gus-side b-days! We love ya Mom & Jon!
Jon & Cami do a great job of hosting!
Always fun to catch up on each others' lives and eat yummy food!
Kennedy loves her cousins!
The kids of course addressed valentines for their classmates. Kenz was so cute wanting to do all of her preschool ones herself!
Kennedy took this valentine picture of Steve and I.
We had the Dimond quarterly gathering that month at our home. So fun to see everyone!
Cute!
Dave & Judy and their kids who could come!
Mikelle went on the band trip to the elementary schools which feed into her Jr. High. They promote band to the 6th graders who will be entering 7th grade to encourage band participation. She had a great time with her friends on the trip and has loved playing the flute. She may be done playing with the band at school but would like to continue with lessons outside of school.
This is random, but this home in PG exploded when Mikelle was only a block from it at a gas station with her friend and friend's mom (on their way home from gymnastics). The explosion was from a gas leak (and was on the news). I had to take a picture as Mikelle said it felt like an earthquake. I am glad the family wasn't there at the time and glad Mikelle was safe as well!
Looks like clean-up might take a while as I am blogging this 3 months later and the mess is still there!
The kids had a chance to watch one of our friends' guinea pigs for a week or so while they were out of town. This is right up our alley of all the fun with no long-term commitment!
So cute!
The kids were in heaven...at least until the smell started getting bad!:)
Our friend Cathleen had a surprise 40th b-day party thrown by her hubby. Everyone had to dress in 70's wear as that was the style when she was born!
Her family had picked out clothes she had to change into and Freddie changed into a white leisure suit as well! I had to drop my gift and run as it was a crazy night-but it was fun to see them!
Last but not least are the cute "pre-school girls" who come over after school here once a week. They were starting to get on each other's nerves when they play-so one day we had a "sesame street watching party" in my room for an hour! I can't believe we are down to our last few months of preschool for the rest of our lives!:)...until March...adios amigas!
