3rd Grade Egg Drop

The boys participated in the 3rd grade science-type experiment project at school. They had to figure out a way for an egg to "survive" after being dropped off the roof of the school.
Of course we had to call in the "big guns" (Steve) to help with this one.
He helped them carve out styrofoam balls for the egg to rest in.

The principal dropped them off the roof one by one.
It was fun to see the different methods everyone used!
There were boxes and parachutes...
We went for the bubble mailers after wrapping the styrofoam egg protector in duct tape.
The chicken way to go was hilarious!
More parachutes! Some worked and some didn't.
Cameron ready to see if his baby survived the crash!
Darn it! A little cracked! Cam was such a good sport even though he was a little bummed it broke.
Nice try though!!
Christian's moment of truth...
Will all of the extra duct tape pay off?
Still peeling off duct tape...
...and it paid off! Christian's survived!
He was pretty excited! Nice job boys!
Last but not least...I had to take a picture of cute little "Monty" (Monterey). She may or may not have a little crush on Christian. I was at the school one day to sell play tickets and she comes running up to Christian after school and gives him a huge hug yelling "Christian!":)

I hope my kids get to do this. It looks like a lot of fun.
