The morning after trick-or-treating, the boys were baptized and confirmed members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Of course we had to take a "few pictures" to remember that very special day!

The day ended here for Steve & I. We buy massage coupons at the college in bulk so we can come for a very low price when we need a little stress relief:) It was a beautiful day and a fun weekend!

Aidan's face says it all: We have so much to smile about and be grateful for! We love our boys, family and extended family and friends so much! Thank you for sharing it with us!

More Halloween...

One of the best things about Steve's work is that the immediate families of the employees can come trick-or-treating there all day. We go right after the class parties finish at school and the kids have their bag 1/3 filled by 4:00 p.m. It is fun to see his co-workers once a year at least!

We also said a quick Hello to Grandma & Grandpa Gus since we were so close!

For the first time in a decade, I had to work from 6-midnight. Nobody would cover that 1/2 of my shift of course and someone apparently had senority over me when I had asked for it off back on Jan. 1st! I was OK though as I have hit the pavement all of those years with the kids and decided one year off was OK! The kids still managed to rack in oodles of candy and weren't deprived by my short absense!

Halloween Parade & Parties 2008

Halloween is always a full day event and is so much fun!

So much fun in fact that Steve takes the day off so we can experience it all together! He loves his annual "referee" costume and I took a break from the Sleeping Beauty witch to get a little more comfortable in the "Jamaican duds." Kennedy was the sweetest little witch! (Better pictures to come).

Christian was a (grotesque) zombie. They aren't allowed to wear the mask at school and I don't think we ever did get a good pic of the full effect of the costume!

Cameron was a ninja. He loves his Karate teachers license plate : URBN NJA. I think he is liking this whole karate class thing! Yeah! We found something he likes!!

Mikelle and her friend found these darling candy corn costumes on line. After a little scare, we did get them in time and they looked so cute. The parade was in the morning and then we came back for the class parties that afternoon. All the kids were darling! More Halloween to come...

It's Gonna Be a Night...to Remember...

Earlier in the year when we heard that High School Musical 3 was coming to theaters on October 24, we had that baby on the calendar for opening night! Can I just say that it was so good! I think I liked it as much as Mikelle and her cousin Stefani!

Even though we all had our tickets a day in advance, the line to get in the theater formed at least 2 hours early. We were barely able to find seats OK! (Thank goodness back-row instead of front-row).

I guess trying to be cool and color co-ordinating with the "Wilcats" is "out of style" but I noticed I wasn't the only Mom there that tried!

We all loved "The Boys are Back" song and it reminded me of the Michael Jackson Thriller beat and dance from "back in the day." Of course we have the whole CD practically memorized and sing lines from it to each other everyday! I think everyone who watches the movie identifies with one or more characters in the movie and it brings back the "fun" high school memories. For me, you have got to love Martha--(a little on the "muscle" side for a cheerleader)--(I think I just had bigger organs than other cheerleaders:) but she had so much fun and personality and loved every second of the moment! Once you have experienced being down there on the floor or the field with that drum line going-it's an unexplanable exhilaration that never quite leaves you! Anywho... W...-I-L-D Wilcats!!

We saw Coach Bolton on Good Things Utah who said there was a script for a fourth movie--but we don't think they could top this one. They might want to end while they are ahead! We want to go to East High on one of their daily tours? to hear more about the filming etc. We'll have to look into it I guess! For now we will just keep singing and dancing to the songs (Mikelle is hilarious with her Gabriella impression--brushing walls and door jams as she walks by them and always looking up or down when she sings). (Even though it is totally out of my vocal range, I sing and make Steve waltz with me to I think it's called Can I have this Dance?:) We are out of control!:)

Extreme Home Make-Over 2008 Edition

Hey! We are only a month behind on our "photo journal" (blog) but at least we can be caught up after we post every day this coming week:) Steve was able to take a few days off work the last part of October so he and the Dimond clan could do a make-over on his parents home while they were away.

They all worked so hard together and did everything from re-paint cabinets and 2-tone paint the whole upstairs to adding new drawer/handle pulls on all the cupboards/drawers and replaced light fixtures/switches/and plugs. One of my favorite parts was the re-textured ceiling (Go Mike!)

It was amazing to see them all pull together to do such a fantastic job. They even finished with cleaning the carpets & replacing a few doors etc.

Thanks to everyone--it turned out so great and Grandma & Grandpa Dimond were so thrilled.

I have to say that I had the "easy job" of keeping the kids out of the way (at home) (most of the time). They did come home one day with a little paint on their clothes but it was fun for them to help at least a little! (I just didn't want to have G & G Dimond's carpet covered in paint tracks--so we tried to stay out of the way and let Steve & Company "do their thing!) Way to Go Dimonds! You are all 'da bombs! (I wonder if I will still say bomb in every sentence in 2009)?:)

We went after school to pay our respects to our little Carson! It was ironic that the weather was exactly the same today as on the day we buried him. Very cold but also beautiful!

It is always a bittersweet day; a day we felt his little spirit and his presence before he passed. It was a heavenly feeling yet sad all at the same time. We miss him and wonder what our lives would have been like if he could have stayed with us! It brings back the memories every year when we go to the cemetery! I have never made it out of there once without crying:) Me and Mikelle always raz each other that we won't make it--she did better than I!

Your brothers and sisters love you Carson and pray often that we can all be together again someday! Steve was at work but always brings flowers home:) Dimonds are Forever!!
